Wedding in the heart of Amsterdam
On a rainy morning in June I arrived in Amsterdam for a wedding. Luckily the sky started to open up and the temperature started to rise. In B&B Mokum Suites the bride and groom were getting ready for their big day and after their first look we went into Amsterdam for a photo shoot. We made a nice walk and I always love city photo shoots! It offers lots of different options. Of course Amsterdam is quite photogenic by itself, so with a beautiful couple it is even more fun to photograph. We slowly walked to the church where all the guest arrived.
After the service and the reception we went to another location at diner time. Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam. I couldn’t think of a more beautiful place to have a diner, wow! The diner was in a glasshouse, between lots of green. During diner friends and family said lots of nice words about the bride and groom. I always like speeches, besides being a perfect moment to capture emotions; it is also a way for me to know the couple a little bit more.
The day ended for me after diner and I went back to Utrecht while the sun was going under in Amsterdam. It was a beautiful and lovely wedding and friends and family had said it several times during the day, the bride has definitely a good sense of style! They looked beautiful (that dress!), the day was beautiful and the locations where stunning. Thank you for your trust and making me feel welcome! I wish you lots of love and happiness together!
